| I told my novia (girlfriend) after I met her, that I would never set foot in Medellin for over a year. My reason? I lived in Miami from 1986-1991 during the height of the cocaine wars and that was my impression of Medellin. Fast forward, Medellin is probably the single greatest turn-around of any major city (above 4 million?) in the world, in the last two generations. Medellin is second largest sity in Colombia, behind the capitol, Bogota. Medellin is magical, idyllic, and my Happy Place.
